What we install

  • Zappi 2.1 - solar-and-battery aware, ideal if you have or plan a PV system. Eco+ mode charges only when your surplus exceeds a threshold.
  • Ohme ePod / Home Pro - simplest for tariff-scheduling (Octopus Intelligent Go, EDF GoElectric). Native price-signal charging.
  • Wallbox Pulsar Plus - compact, matte finish, popular for Broadstairs and Ramsgate front-driveways where visual footprint matters.
  • PodPoint Solo 3 - the classic reliable-and-simple option, no smart-tariff features.

The domestic homeowner grant closed in 2022; the current OZEV EV Chargepoint Grant is still open (to at least 2026-27) for flat-owners and renters. We check eligibility at survey.

Network operator notification

In Kent the network operator is South Eastern Power Networks, part of UK Power Networks. Larger or more complex installs need its approval before the charger is switched on. We submit what is needed. You never deal with the network operator.

Thanet cable-route tips

Ramsgate and Broadstairs Regency and Victorian townhouses often have cellar meter cupboards; the tidiest route is a cellar drop and a T-and-E clip-run to the drive. Cliftonville and Margate 1930s stock usually has a meter-cupboard-under-stairs; expect a through-wall run to the front. Rural Minster properties frequently have the meter on the boundary post, twenty metres from the house - the cable run is often the bulk of the job.
