What we collect

• Your name, phone number and email address when you contact us for a quote.
• Your property address and postcode, needed to price and attend the job.
• Photos you send of the electrical installation, needed to price accurately.
• For EICR clients: the completed report itself, held for 5 years plus one further inspection cycle as required by the 2020 electrical safety regulations.
• Website usage: standard Google Analytics 4 aggregate stats (page views, referrer, device type). No IP-based individual profiling.

What we do with it

Reply to your enquiry, quote the job, attend, invoice and (where notifiable) register the work with Thanet District Council building control and issue the electrical certificate. For EICR clients, produce the statutory report and retain it as required.

What we do not do

Sell your data. Share it with marketing partners. Add you to a mailing list. Contact you after the job for repeat business without your say-so.

How long we keep it

• Enquiry that does not become a job: 12 months from your last message, then deleted.
• Completed jobs: 7 years for accounting and insurance purposes.
• EICR reports: 5 years plus one inspection cycle (up to 10 years) per statutory requirement.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data (subject to statutory retention). Email hello@thanetelectrical.co.uk to exercise these.
