CT8 · Westgate-on-Sea
St Mildred's Bay, seafront villas, inland semis. Same crew, same fixed pricing as every other Thanet postcode - because Westgate-on-Sea is one district over from the next town, not a different world.
Westgate-on-Sea CT8 has a distinct Edwardian and pre-1914 character. The seafront line from St Mildred's Bay to Sea Road is Edwardian villas - large detached houses, high-ceiling reception rooms, original electrical fabric from the 1900s-1920s largely refitted in the 1960s and again in the 1990s. What we find in Westgate is layered wiring: three or four generations of installation stacked in the same wall cavities.
Inland from the seafront, Westgate transitions into 1930s semis and a small band of post-war infill. The Westgate Pavilion end is quieter; the church end has a conservation area covering the older core.
Salt exposure on the CT8 seafront is severe on north-facing installs - the front line villas take direct onshore wind from October through March. We fit outdoor meter cupboards in stainless enclosures and re-inspect at every EICR.
