Birchington CT7 is the western end of the Isle of Thanet, and the closest thing on the isle to a village atmosphere. Minnis Bay is bungalow country - single-storey stock with straightforward electrical layouts but often long incoming supply cables from the road (sometimes 30-40 metres). Undersized meter tails and marginal main earthing (TT rather than TN-C-S in some older Minnis addresses) come up regularly at EICR.
The village core has a mix of Edwardian villas, 1930s semis and inter-war terraces. The Quex Park side estates are 1980s and later - modern PVC wiring, most work here is EV chargers and consumer-unit upgrades rather than rewires.
